URLTV is continuing going full force on throwing events all over the map and this event is no different. Philly, one of the most influential places in battle rap and hip hop in general. The city that produced the likes of Cassidy, Reed Dollaz, E Ness and more. After a few mishaps on the reloaded card with a fight breaking out, we just might see tension and intensity on this card. So here are my predictions:

ARSONAL VS CASSIDY (CASSIDY 2-1 DEBATABLE)
Now before you kill me for predicting this, just let me explain first. The battle is being held in Philly, Cassidy has actual legitimate fans that will root for him. To my knowledge Cass is a hometown hero, and URL knew what they were doing booking the battle there. Also, let’s not forget that Cassidy didn’t do terrible in the first round against Goodz, he showed that he can still rap and has a pen good enough to move a crowd at times. Now that Cassidy knows what works and what won’t I expect a better showing in his own city. Arsonal is from the city over being Jersey and I’m sure he’ll get some love. But Arsonal can also rap a little dated at times. I believe he’ll take Cassidy for granted. I don’t expect a classic at all, I expect a battle where Cassidy can take the first and edge a third.
K-SHINE VS REED DOLLAZ (SHINE 2-1 CLEAR)
I know in the previous prediction I championed being the hometown favorite, but this is Shine we’re talking about. Like I always say, DON’T. DOUBT. SHINE! He’s been on a tear to say the least for about 2 years now. He’s just been going crazy and let’s not forget how he beat E Ness in Philly few months ago as well. My only concern is that Reed has battled Rex, Chess, and JJDD so he’s not new to how this new age battle rap works. They both beat Rex. So it could easily go one sided if Reed goes in to his early 2000s form. But if it comes down to bars, I got Shine, if it comes down to performance, I might give it to Reed.
NU JERZY TWORK VS CALICOE (TWORK 2-1 CLEAR)
After a lackluster performance on the 2v2 card, I expect Towrk to go crazy against a solidified veteran being Calicoe. This battle has been brewing for some time and I expect a stellar Calicoe who didn’t get to finish his rounds with Mook. Cal should will most likely do his story telling and hood wordplay to get over for a round. However, once that runs out, I expect Twork’s energy to take over as he’s battling next to his hometown. I expect almost the same as what happened against John John but with a little more competitiveness.
GEECHI GOTTI VS TAY ROC (ROC 2-1 CLEAR)
Not sure what Geechi did to deserve such a crazy resume in the recent year. Battling Surf, Chess, and Shine has just further impressed me with his likability on the main stage. However, I doubt Geechi’s skill set, Surf showed that there’s a difference in rapping skill and true substance. Roc is going to show his veteran ability to allow Geechi to go off in the first but taking the second and third clearly.
DNA VS BILL COLLECTOR (BILL 2-1 DEBATABLE)
Being that it’s in Philly and Bill has been on the map in the battle rap world with a showing against Hitman and Rex. I expect Bill to fully grasp the crowd from the jump with his Philly flow and energy. DNA is no stranger to going up against a hometown favorite but by the time he starts to heat up it might be too late. This is my sleeper pick to be a classic.
JC VS SHOTGUN SUGE (SUGE 3-0)
I see this battle going the same way JC battled K-Shine. I see Suge taking over the battle from the jump with his energy and aggressiveness. Although JC’s pen is elite, it doesn’t compare to a fully prepared Suge. Add in a pocket tap, “What ya life like?”, and “Let’s get one thing straight!” and perhaps it could get ugly. Suge is good at having short 2 minute rounds full of high energy action. I shouldn’t doubt JC, but I am.
